Keep A Watchful Eye for Wannabe Contractors

There are tell-tale signs that homeowners can look for before hiring a contractor. These things are easy to spot. First, watch for punctuality. Second, is the contractor’s vehicle in a sorry state of disrepair? Consider this for a moment – a contractor that is concerned about his business would buy a vehicle that reflects his dedication to his career. It does not mean he has to arrive in a Ferrari but it should by all means be presentable.

Did he give you a hearty handshake when he introduced himself? Ask for references as good contractors have many satisfied clients. Ask about his license and insurance. If he passes these criteria, then you’ll know that you have yourself a real home improvement contractor, not a wannabe.
